the Symons beef Company is a family  owned and operated business that is dedicated to producing the highest quality beef in central Oregon. founded by Jeremy and Johanna Symons in 2007, Symons livestock LLc started as a ranching and feeding operation and has grown to integrate every step of the beef life cycle which includes a cow/calf operation, farming, feeding and growing cattle, animal health and nutrition, marketing and sales, and now providing local, clean and fresh beef to consumers. complete involvement in production from the ranch to the table is how this comprehensive approach ensures the products that arrive at your door or on your plate are the very best available. 

our cow/calf operation is the foundation of our business. our mother cows graze on forage in and around central Oregon throughout most of the year. when breeding our livestock we hand select with a careful and strategic process only the best genetics in the cattle industry. 

on the farm, environmentally friendly techniques set the stage for the end result of the most clean and wholesome beef that we have to offer. we do not use pesticides, and our crops are fertilized organically with manure that is collected from our cows.  state of the art irrigation equipment ensures that we are doing our part as water conservators. all of the crops we grow are fed to our cows. a consulting animal nutritionist specially formulates rations with these crops to adequately insure balanced and nutritional diet for every animal. 

when we wean the calves from our mother cows we bring them to our feeding facility. our cowboys are trained extensively on low stress cattle handling techniques and humane treatment of animals. we ensure the health and well being of every animal in our care. because our family is increasingly cautious of how our food is produced, we do not use hormones or antibiotics in our cattle.

being able to provide families with clean and wholesome beef is the end result of our efforts. an important part of the process is to carefully dry age products to maximize flavor and tenderness. our beef is like a fine wine, aged to perfection. in an industrial facility. beef goes from hoof to package in one day. this skips the very important aging process that helps produce flavor. once the aging process is complete, a skilled and local central Oregon butcher trims and cuts the final products we package. beef is a highly perishable product, so we either sell it in the fresh form or in the frozen state for preservation purposes. there are not preservatives or artificial ingredients used in the meat processing phase. by doing this we ensure and uncontaminated, fresh and pure product.
